Bookcase Design Challenge Grand Prize

It’s time to let the cat out. Youve waited an entire week to find out about the LumberJocks/ magazine Challenge Grand Prize , a week I hope youve spent eyeing bookcase designs, including those linked to in the previous newsletter (click here) where we announced the challenge. We boasted that neither , nor any other woodworking magazine that we know of, has ever offered this prize before. This is your chance to be a part of the first ever woodworking event. It’s here.

The winning original design will be published in magazine. This is not a gallery of photos, but a complete article. You will be a published contributor author, which is a paid contributor author with your own name.

We will work with you to create step-by-step photographs with captions and an opening photo for your story. If we have to arrange for a photographer in your shop to take the shot, we will. We will be with you at every step of the way.

We hope this will sweeten the pot, but we also dont want to scare anyone from the contest. If you are interested in designing, but not necessarily building your bookcase, then take it on here and create the article using your input. You have the final say. Your name will appear on the article in any way you want. Your bookcase design will be seen by the entire woodworking community.

This may open up a completely new path to meander down, or you may be happy just to get your design and name in front of thousands of fellow woodworkers.
